The Buffalo Sabres, now under the ownership of Terry Pegula, are coming into the 2011-12 National Hockey League season with a different look and a different way of thinking. One thing that hasn't changed in the Pegula era though: the amount of talent the Sabres have coming up through the ranks.

For the first time, the Sabres sent 24 young players to the Traverse City NHL Prospects Tournament in Michigan in mid-September. The four-day tournament featured the Sabres and seven other NHL clubs: host Detroit, Carolina, Columbus, Dallas, Minnesota, St. Louis and the New York Rangers; following the round robin and tournament rounds, the young Sabres came away with the trophy.
