How do you track your inventory?
How do yo track your inventory, or do you even bother? I have seen people with long trade lists and think they couldn't have spent the time to type it all out. How do you know what base , parallel and inserts you have. My collection has grown (except the little slowdown with panini) and just wondering how one would keeptrack or if youeven bother and just search through it all anytime you are trying to find a card to trade or something.
Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks
D.R.

I actually made a list in Excel of all the cards I have. I used different columns for year, set, team, etc. so I can easily sort through and find things people are looking for. Its an admittedly tedious process at first, but it makes things so much easier later on. Makes it easier to trade with player, team, and set collectors.

So then I would need to type every card in? Is there an easier/faster way I now have a few shelves full and don't want to spend that much time on the base.

I have a beckett basketball annual price guide that I use as a checklist. I also plan on getting the same for football. For any cards not listed in the price guide I use the following for checklists:
