Did you read the back of the card to see what it say it is?

The back doesnt say. At the bottom it has something about all cards being guaranteed authentic, but doesnt say where it came from

Panini does not seam to be very specific. I only have one Panini card with a stick on it.

    https://www.sportscardforum.com/scf/i...es/show/716348

    On the back it say:
The Enclosed Game-worn/used swatches are guarenteed by Panini America Inc.

I would beleive this mean game used sick as well. More so since this is their prime product like The cup for UD.

It is really hard to tell what they actually use... for all I know it might not be even his stick.

An example is their Denis Savard Shield. They say it is game-worn yet it is a Shield from the modern RBK jersey.

I don't know if they are intentionally being unspecific but they can sure get away a lot with the words they are using.

The Ciccarelli pieces are from a stick used while he was with Washington in 1989-90.
The Savard shield was cut from a 1988-89 Blackhawks sweater.

Wait...I thought the 88-89 Chicago Blackhawks Jerseys were made by CCM?

This is definitely a newer reebok NHL shield. The blackhawks didn't even house shields on their jerseys like this until the 2007-2008 season...and this logo wasn't even formed until after the lockout.

I'm about 99% certain that NHL logos were brown/copper and black (not silver and black) before the lockout. Denis Savard retired in 1997.

Uh. The only thing I can think of is Winter Classic sweater from Legends game, but they didn't have one the year the Blackhawks played.
