    Budget Card Site?

I feel like everyone on this site has massive collections, owns a hobby shop, or spends thousands of dollars on products. Is there anyone out there who wants to finish base sets and trade $2-5 GU/Autos they pull from the one or two boxes they can afford to break for their favorite players? Are we allowed to pool our money and do breaks together to hopefully get something for our PC?

I've got the hits/inserts/#ds from 75 bucks of 10-11 Prestige break, 4 blasters of threads, and some random 07-08 Fleer, 05-06 Topps, and 09-10 UD. And that pretty much means I'm having to buy anything offered.

    Its kinda depressing.

Haha, it does seem that way sometimes. I started out just like you, I had a few good cards from my old Melo collection and not much else. Ive slowly built up a nice collection making trades on this site though, stuff Id never really think Id be able to get tbh, and most of my high end pick-ups have been trades where sombody needs a whole bunch of my low end and scrub 09-10 UD Dual G/U's (I bust those blasters all the time, lol). You just got to put the right post up at the right time and get lucky, lol. There are plenty of low-end collectors on this site too, they are just not as active as the bigger collectors usually. One suggestion Id make is make a photobucket and put it in your sig with a list of players you collect, since Ive done that I get about a trade a day in as opposed to a trade a week when I had a tradelist and no link to it in my sig.

Group breaks are only allowed to be run by a mod on this site, there is a forum for that, but I dont think they have run one for a while due to lack of interest.

It can seem that way, but just be patient and hang in there, eventually you'll get trades. It has definitely been harder and harder to make low end trades lately.

If you are looking for some low end, I have some low end GU's in my bucket in my sig. I also have these two low end list you can look through. I am looking for Bulls in return. Please check my list let me know what you like and PM me what you might have thanks.

I have a family to take care of so I do not have a lot of disposable income to spend on cards. I mainly buy low end blasters and other sale items then make trades on here as well as another website that I like to frequent. I also live off the 99 cent menu on ebay. lol. Now I may not have the trade bait to trade for everything that I like on here but I have been able to pull of a lot of trades on here. Be paitient, check the trade boards and if you see something that you want to trade for or if some is looking to trade for something that you have send them a PM and go from there. Good luck.

    Cool

I also feel outnumbered too because I'm also a low-budget base brand set collector. Higher-end products just don't appeal to me. If I had more time (and money), I'd be much more aggressive in inventorying and completing my baseball base sets. But I still love this site and am proud to be a part of it.

Just in case you didn't know, you may find others looking to complete there basketball card sets in the Basketball Set Building forum.
