What would you do?
So first time I had this problem on ebay and was wondering what the feeling is of the people on the board.
I recently had a new member on ebay hit the BIN on my auction.
This was a new member with 0 feedback and just joined 2 days before hitting the BIN (which was ending the same day).
It is a large sum.
I have sent two message to the buyer asking for at least some communication so I know they are serious about purchasing the item.
I have not heard back yet.
Would it be wrong of me to cancel the transaction now and re-listing the item?

I just had a similar problem. I sent four messages and in the last one told them I would start the NPB process if I did not hear the next day. They paid then. I gave them five days.

No it would not be wrong. If they are not communicating with you or paying I would cancel it.

It would not be wrong. When i was a new bidder i made sure i contacted the seller before bidding, after bidding and i paid immediately. Not a good way for the ebay newbie to start out.

Thanks
I never had problems with 0 feedback buyer since I always got paid but this is a large amount.
I will give them until tonight and then start the NPB.

I don't run into many issues on the selling side but I believe it's 7 days before you can file the NPB against him and re-list.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

i would cancel it and relist it, with bids made with users with feeback less than ___ (whatever you feel comfortable with) will automatically be cancelled.
he could end up paying you for the item, say he never recieved it and get his money back, and have the card.

Maybe, but I would say it's just as likely a new user who doesn't quite have the intricacies of the system down yet.
Could be a kid who made his way on there to have some fun and hasn't been back since.
There's a lot of possibilities.

if he doesn't reply and pay, cancel the deal and re-list. better off having a problem with the buyer and still have your card than having a problem with the buyer and be out the cash and card.
