Getting back in the game!
As a kid collecting sports cards, among many other things, was a huge part of my life. I loved going down to the local card store with my allowance money each week and getting new packs of cards. I primarily collected baseball cards but also some football, basketball, and hockey. I've got a pretty large collection of cards from 1987 to 1995, especially considering I was a kid.
At one point I even opened my own "card store" and sold card packs to the other kids in the neighborhood. Good times. A few weeks ago I decided to dig up my old collection. Probably hadn't looked at it in 10 years. It brought back some great memories and also reminded me how much enjoyment I got from collecting. I'm still a huge sports fan and have an even bigger interest and understanding of players than I did as a kid and so it only made sense to get back into collecting.
I've been going through my collection and doing some organizing and also bought a box of 2010 Panini Prestige football and a few random 2011 football packs to get me started again. Football will definitely be my primary focus with basketball as a secondary focus this time around. I'm a huge Dirk Nowitzki fan and will probably try to start building a solid collection of his cards and other than that just collect the sets that intrigue me. I've already been browsing the forums and there are some truly amazing collections. Look forward to buying/selling/trading with many of you in the future.

Thanks for the welcome. I am truly overwhelmed by the large community and wealth of information on this site. Going to need to spend some time getting my cards cataloged with the inventory manager.
Pulled a Blake Griffin Draft Picks /999 card out of a free 2009 Panini Prestige blaster I got with an order that came in tonight. How's that for a welcome back to the hobby? :)
