Exclamation Refractor Cards WITH or WITHOUT Protactive Coating?!?!

What is your preference with REFRACTOR cards? I know there's alot that do not come with these peels, but this questions is for the ones that come with it originally.

I know there's more demand and value in Refractor cards that still have their original Protective Coatings on them, but what is your preference when they are GRADED and in Sealed Cases? I collect all my Refractor cards with protective coatings, but I'm not too sure if its better to have the coating off in a BGS 9.5 Gem Mint slab since it is encapsulated pretty much forever, and Refractors look so much better without the coating.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

I prefer the looks of them without the protector, but I never can bring myself to take off the protectors on any of mine. I also dont really trade for originally protected refractors with the coating removed because they scratch almost instantly it seems. Lol.

I prefer them to be intact with the protector

I have a bunch that are both ways. I feel the surface grade isn't accurate if the peel is on because they are grading the peel and not the card itself. They display better without the peel for sure. I don't mind buying already graded refractors with the peel off but i wouldn't peel them myself. If its a card that i pull myself i always leave the peel on, too risky to peel it off.

I prefer to take them off myself and have it slabbed for protection. The coloring on them shines better without the protector.

For trading purpose though, i would leave them on for others to decide.
