I guess the positive for burnett is the last time he faced the tigers in Detroit he went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs.

Even if Verlander should lose I still see this series going 5 games.I have no faith in A.J.Burnett especially in a must win game,if the Yankees lose tomorrow night they'll never get back to Yankee stadium.

I know this is going to sound crazy, but why not pitch A.J. in game 3 and save C.C for game 4 that would give the Yankees the best chance to win one in Detroit.

4.49 era- ERA wise, Verlander is at a 4.32 against the Yanks.
FYI- I wasn't saying Verlander actually sucked against NY- but compared to godmother games this year, he did.

There are far more annoying fans out there than you- far more. But the '2011 AL Central Division Champions' does get annoying whenever you say the word 'Tigers'.

Didn't he end up losing that game though and ended up imploding? I believe that start was against Porcello, could be wrong though..
I thought that Girardi would do that if the series was 1-1 going into game 3. It seemed odd that he didnt announce CC for game 3 right away.
That's including playoffs, i'd assume?
Its suppose to be annoying, its an inside joke of sorts..Hidden Content

At least the umpiring will be in our favor tonight,Jerry Davis is behind home plate,Verlander's e.r.a is over 6 when he umps,on the other hand C.C.Sabathia is 2-0 when Jerry Davis umps, hey any positive is worth mentioning.
