If you didnt put insurance or dc# then its as good as gone i would suggest to never ship without DC at least, Spend the extra $.75c for peace of mind, The post office doesn't do much for items shipped with a few stamps so all you can do is find a replacement gu or come to some kind of arrangement to settle the deal you made.

Well, even D.C. does you no good really. I had a trade (ironically with cavsfan, who I will say is one of the most trustworthy and honest people Ive met on here) where his end with D.C. came all the way to out for delivery and it got lost. I opened a case with the post office and they never got back in contact with me and when I asked about it they give me the run-around, even now I cant get a straight answer about what I can expect for a solution from USPS (3 months later). Basically I just told him to keep my end, I ate the loss (even though I didnt have to, but it wasnt a trade where I cared about the cards I sent) and moved on. Unless the card got delivered to the wrong address and they return it a month or so later (ive had this happen before also off eBay on a $200 package) its gone. Sorry to hear, the P.O. can be a bit sketchy at times.

Although that is True, DC does enable you to be able to narrow it down to a Carrier since they need to scan it before leaving it in a mail box, It still does not guarantee 100% that it will get to the right house but its 100 times better than throwing a Stamp on it and once its leaves your hands who knows were it went.

I've done a deal years ago with DC that said it was delivered and the other guy said he never received it. Then a few months later the package was in my mailbox saying undeliverable. So anythings really possible.

Yeah sometime this kind of stuff just happens with no good solution. For low end stuff, it's not a big deal to just take the lost and make everyone involved happy.

Interestingly, the post office has kind of been weird lately. Some of the ebay's sales I've sent out took two weeks to deliver. And one item that I bought, the seller mailed it in the beginning of august (postmarked and everything) and I didn't get it till just this past week!

    Use DC if you can
if shipping through paypal, that DC is very cheap (like 20 cents or so)
