Oilers Cut Brule
I wonder if this is the end of the line for the #6 pick in the 2005 draft. He had a couple pretty bad injuries early in his career that he's never been able to recover from. I know a lot of Habs fans were really high on this kid at that draft and several blew a gasket when they bypassed him in favour of Carey Price. Not surprisingly, there's already a couple out there that think Gauthier should sign him.

No surpise.
Since his time in Edmonton, but biggest thing he's done was give Bono a ride out of a rainstorm.
Looking forward to seeing Anton Lander in the lineup instead..... though I am wondering if this means I'll be able to get a Brule Cup RC for cheap now.... they seem to stay in the $60+ range for some reason???

there was radio talk the leafs should sign him cause they're desperate at center with so many injuries. good? bad? doesn't matter?

I'm usually very critical of the Leafs. Even if they were 100% healthy, I think their center group needs a desperate overhaul.
That being said - Brule wouldn't help at all, IMO. They're better of going with Joe Colbourne.
