Holy Cow!! Brook Lopez Exquisite. Unreal!

I've been watching brook lopez exquisite rookies for a few months now. They have been selling anywhere in the $80 to $115 range, usually depending on the patch. Then this happened:

I would not have thought that this card being numbered 1 of 225 would result in a $500 inflation.

    Holy Cow!

my guess would be shill bidding. It seems anything coming out of Tiawan or hong kong lately has sold at least double the normal bidding price. Cant say for sure as Ive never dealt with the eBayer before, but that price seems a bit fishy to me.

Could be, but even then someone else would have had to bid over $600 for this card...

Doesn't look like shill bidding. The next highest bidder has 271 feedback, and this is his only bid activity with this seller. Looks like two obsessed set collectors to me.

I think the 'private' aspect is a default setting for the listing options of the seller...

I think i have to agree with the fact that it seems like it might just be 2 people with deeps pockets that had to have this card either as a brook lopez collector or as an exquisite collector who must have the first print of the card. Either way, insane price!

It's kind of ignorance to automatically blame shill bidding when something goes high... did you notice the serial number? It's #1. There are a couple of people (crazy people in my eyes) that pay huge for 1st serial numbered Exquisite rookies...
