Odd Picture Selection
Just came across this Jimmy Howard from 11-12 OPC and noticed something weird about the picture on the front.

If you know what you're looking for, you can see the picture is from the 05-06 season. Why would they use a picture from six years ago? Anyone notice this with any other base cards from OPC?

It happens from time to time. There's only so many photos that they have access to, and sometimes they happen upon one that looks cool that's a bit older. Still, it is odd. I know I'd find it a head-scratcher to see a Carey Price card with him in the barber pole jerseys from the Centennial season in an 11-12 product.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Good point, at least they didn't use one with him in his blue and white Maine gear from that season, that would've just been awful.

Considering every team shows up at every rink every couple of years, you'd think they could just have a photographer in a couple of towns who take photos of the teams when they're on the ice.
Now, this doesn't account for the players who don't play every game, but surely it would cut down on SOME costs of picking up stock images from Corbis or Getty... Tho considering the volume of pics they'd use for each team, they must get a HELL of a good rate from those sellers too..
