Dominion or The Cup?
Hello,I'm new to Hockey and I purchased a case of Dominion recently and had a good experience with it but I've been hearing I need to get the cup over dominion, once again I'm a noob to hockey and I would love to hear the experts thoughts on here on what I should buy.
Also should I invest in Subban or Hall?
Thank you for your input in advance

Hey there!
It all depends on personal experience. I broke both for the first time and I loved the rush I got out of both. What I found is that Dominion gives you a great variety of cards and the design is beautiful!
The Cup on the other hand gives you more value in the end. The purists pretty much agree that The Cup is still THE king of the high end. I think it's a draw from personal experience.
If you can afford it, DO get some tins. It's really awesome!!
Oh and between Subban and Hall, I'd go for both.
Hall will surely turn out to be an awesome forward, but Subban will turn out to be an awesome D-man AND he's with Montreal.

In my totally unbiased opinion, go with Subban. He's going to be hugely popular in Montreal for a long time.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Cup cards are much better looking I think. Dominion has a cheap feel too it and I don't care for it at all. The "extra" cards you get in a pack are dollar box fillers if you ask me. Too many parallel's that do nothing for me. A red, blue, green, whatever foil change and numbering tier is fine for Certified, not a $300+ pack. Maybe next year they'll take all the good/bad input they've received thus far and give it a better go.

Well, I love Hall and the Oilers, so obviously I collect him, but you can't really go wrong with either player going forward.
I think Cup has better value when breaking boxes/cases, but for collecting purposes I like what Dominion offers. Sure, the parallels are annoying, but I got a really nice Hall /99 for what, 25% of the price his Cup rookie is going for?
I mean, $700 sounds pretty good relative to $2,500+ for a live 3-clr Hall, not to mention the fact I was able to get a great looking crest patch with Dominion, which are obviously not available with the Cup.

if you're new and have already tried a case of Dominion then try a case of Cup next. =)

hi there
i never bought case of everything but once in a while i buy a box or two. but i still say upper deck is the better brand dominion is just something new. i agree with Braden when he said dominion has a cheap feel to it. in the end the cup i think will be the better brand long term. dominion might have more in their packs but i have seen their stuff sell pretty cheap. i would invest in little of both subban & hall they both have alot of potential.
thanks johnnaseri

Gotta go with Hall, 1st overall pick, Subban is great but for his talent level right now, Canadians collectors just push his prices up way too high, God forbid he gets traded, you'll see his card prices get cut in half.
Have never broken either but I enjoy Cup cards so much more.
