Local auction pick ups.....wow
Hey,
So I went to a local auction today that had some autographed baseballs listed. I was surprised at what I saw. Six baseballs in all....Bob Gibson, Luis Aparicio, Harmon Killebrew, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and Ted Williams!! The first thing that crossed my mind is what in the hell are these doing here in my small town?
The auctioneer had no idea who the players were as he really didint pay attention to them. When it came time to bid they said high bid can buy as many as they want for that price. There was me and some other guy bidding and I stopped at $95. The guy went up and took only one ball...Bob Gibson!! LOL
Then bidding started back up and me and that guy went at it again and I got it for $55 and took these three beauties........
The Killebrew and Aparicio went to the other guy for $30 each.
Three NICE baseballs for $165? I think I did great!

Hey,
Thanks guys...
No coa's with any of them. I plan on JSA looking them over the next time I go to an on site thing just to have some paper work on em...
I talked to the auctioneer and he told me who the seller was and her husband was a collector that passed away that I knew from years ago. I am 99% sure they are legit.
