    is this legit?

i found this.. and i think it would be a cool thing to have, however, he says its worth 700 and theres a reserve on it...

is it possible that its actually worth 700? and would his reserve be that high?

seems a little high to me..

    Sorry bud,
I dont see that being worth 700.00. Its worth whatever someone will offer for it, so if its worth that to you, go for it. I wouldnt touch it for the amount on the front of it though.

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't even give $7 for it!

It really depends on the ticket....

I had 4 Game 7 tickets to the 2000 World Series...

Since there was no game 7 we had them all encased (much like PSA/BGS without grading), 2 sold on ebay for $75, and $82... The third was put into a HUGE photo (4'x6') that had the Game 7 ticket embedded in the bottom middle of the photo, along with 4 other World Series Tickets (1, 2, 3, 5) that were autographed by Joe Torre, Jeter, Tino, and Mariano. It was a Christmas gift from me and my ex-gf to her father...

The whole point is that some objects have a high value to someone while someone would not even spend a buck on it.... Usually you can even sell the tickets to auctioneers/collectible people, and sometimes those tickets will be sold off to card companies, etc., and made into something like a card w/ticket, or similar to the framed picture above...

As for the Raptors thing, I'd only pay $700 if it came along with EVERY SINGLE signature from the inaugural members of the team, AND THEN a couple dozen autographed Vince cards! :new_squar

I agree with you Seablazer...100%! When I left Super Bowl XXVIII, we were offered $25 for our stubs (FAT CHANCE, after the thousands we paid)! Some teams offer commemorative tickets as well, that are collectible. The Dolphins did something like that to celebrate their undefeated season a few years back. Still, if you are not a 'Phins fan, or a fan of the team on the ticket, it does not matter much. Interesting post, but once again "I" would not pay anywhere near that much for it...

    Peace,
    Steve

Yep heroes, most teams give or offer commemorative tickets.

That year, I don't know, but I believe they came with our original tickets, we got the "collector's" ticket. But honestly, the actual game tickets compared to the commemorative tickets were almost the same... Size wise, the real ticket was smaller, but they had the same general print, etc.

BTW, we still have the 3 of the commems... Don't know why we never sold them, but the father would not allow it because "he paid good money for those tickets!"

    Sea,

Yeah, I would not sell my hologramed SB tickets or '03 WS tickets, but my '97 tickets (the FISH's 1st title!) are FADING BADLY because they were printed off by Ticketron. :o( Good thing I scanned them before they become a distant memory! GOOD TOPIC, bad RESERVE on the above listing, though! LOL!

    Peace,
    Steve
