The Official 2011-12 Tampa Bay Lightning Discussion Thread

This thread will be for the 2011-12 Tampa Bay Lightning season. If you're a Lightning fan, share your thoughts about games, players, ect.

So far im very impressed with the new jerseys and some of the new acquisitions. Matt Gilroy hasn't impressed me at all, but I like the speed of Shannon. The Bolts won their season opener by a score of 5-1 against the Hurricanes on October 7th in Raleigh. They lost the night after against the Bruins by a score of 4-1 on October 8th in Boston. I guess that's what you get when you play the second of a back to back game against the defending champs lol. Marty St. Louis scored his 300th career goal that game, so the entire game wasn't a negative.

The next Lightning game is Monday October 10th against the Capitals, in Washington. This will be the third of a five game road trip to start the season. Talk about a rude awakening lol.

    Be The Thunder, go Bolts!

I completely forgot about this thread lol. Stamkos has a hat trick tonight against the Hawks. The score is 4-4 with about 10 minutes left in the 3rd period as im posting this. The Hawks are looking really strong, I hope the Bolts can pull off the win!
