250$ seems reasonable for the amount of set collectors, congrats on the sale as im sure the buyer is also happy to get this one knocked off the checklist early

Looks to me like it's $250.00 not $2500.00

Even $250 is $125 too much

I tihnk 250$ seems reasonable, as for OPC master collectors (as there is a ton) its about the card not the player.

Couple other examples, Maxim Afinogenov's 08-09 SPGU Authentic Fabrics, normally a 0.75 - 1$ card, but was a SSP and all sold over 100$, again set collectors, and Marc Staal's Series 1 upper deck game jersey from 09-10, couple sold upwards of 200$ as it was also a SSP.

    ....

Let's look at this logically. The OP says Brian Boyle OPC Auto is found in a ratio of: 1:103,626 Packs.

So we can assume that is not a 1/1, but probably damn close at say #/5, or a #/8 at the longest odds. So assuming that it's 5 copies, are you going to pay $250.00 for a Brian Boyle #/5 when you can get a Hall of Famer for less money?

That is what needs to be asked. That is why this Boyle Auto is not worth more than $25.00.

Sorry, but I deal in logic and reality, not assumption.

I'm happy to have it sold.
Value is in the eye of the beholder, and I always knew it would never go for 2500, but its definelty worth more than $25 based on scarcity, I have yet to see one other up, or out on the market.

Again I will stick to the same argument, its about SET collecting and not PLAYER collecting, whether its a Bobby Orr auto or Dean McAmmond, if theres only 3 or 4 out there they are going to sell high as out of the 100s or 1000s of OPC master set collectors only 5 or 8 or however many were produced are going to be able to accomplish that set so again as a SET collector 250$ is reasonable.

Simply put, Supply and Demand, its the basis of everything
