    I think its a bummer to be a kid and start collecting in this time period. How do you afford anything? Cards these days are so expensive compared to back in my early days of collecting. Good luck!!

    As soon as I sell a few thing on Ebay I'm going to add 140 new Packers cards to my collection. I've already got the lot picked out on sportlots. It will cost me a grand total of thirty four dollars and some change. That is not that expensive.

    Of course if you are one of those that has to have the top dollar stuff and you look at the hobby like a lottery ticket (you buy as much as you can hoping to pull that card that will make you rich) I can see where it might get expensive.

    Good article - I agree it is hard for everyone. With a mortgage, bills, and everything else.. card collecting can't be a priority financial.. I don't understand how all these card stores can make a living doing this.
