    1996 NBA Hoops question????

i have some cards from what i thought nba hoops 97 and nba hoops 96. When I entered them into my card collector program, version 7.0, they were both under 96 nba hoops when i was sure the 97 cards were in a different set. I tried checkin on the internet, but didn't get a really clear answers. Any help or replies would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

easy way to tell which year they are from is checking the stats on the back if the last year on the player's stats is 02-03 then thecard is 03-04, if its 95-96 then its 96-97 or if its 96-97 then its 97-98 that should help you out

The Card Collector, version 7.0. I got confused because they had both cards from 96 and 97 all in 96 nba hoops so that's why i am wondering if they are in one set, or if their different sets respectively.
