Older Ultra Rookie Redemptions

Quick question, at one of the toys R us they had a bunch of 07-08 Ultra packs kicking around, and just wondering now are these even worth buying.

Questions being:

1. are all the top rookie redemptions such as Price, Kane, Toews, etc and if so I'm assuming the redemptions wont be honoured correct?

2. i guess this question is the same as the first, but the gold medallion and ice medallion redemptions would be the same story oui?

Thanks, info need and will be greatly appreciated.

There was also a few 08-09, these the same story too? (Stamkos, etc)

I believe all of those redemption periods would have expired by now, yes. If you do go ahead with the purchase, and hit one of the cards, you might be able to sweet-talk the nice UD rep on the phone to check the inventory and see if they have any left.

Yeah I had about 20 packs in my hand until the lightbulb turned on and I thought about it lol

I pulled a redemption out of 08-09 Ultra a week or so back and called UD. The rep on the phone told me that they are going to be starting to redeem expired redemptions on Jan. 16th. Thought I might try and call back and get someone else to see for sure if that's true.

I redeemed an expired Mason Raymond Ultra rookie in December 2010 without any problem. I just entered it on the website and there was no hassle. Granted, that was almost a year ago, but it still worked for me. It took about 2 months for the card to arrive.

Hmm maybe I'll try. Of course they are retail sonchances of getting one is slim anyways lol


How about 03-04 ITG action lol got 2 redemptions from 2 boxes but I mean they are like 8 yrs old lol

Mine was from a blaster bought at KMart. I can't remember if it was retail for sure, but I think all the blasters are retail. Granted it was Raymond, not Price or one of those that I pulled. Good luck!

Just got off the ud website and redemmed 07/08 artifacts rc 233 ( David Jones ) expired oct/1/2010 .
