    Question Anyone know about CSA?

I have no clue about this grading company CSA. I was looking at a couple cards I need that are graded by them. I don't do graded cards really, but these just happened to so.

Anyone hear any scams, reliability issues, reputation? Thanks
    Pat

Is that the same company that makes its own GU cards and grades them?

I saw a GEM 10 from CSA at a show on a vintage card, it would not have graded 10 from PSA or Beckett and I wouldn't be surprised if it hadn't been altered, but I can't be for sure about the altering. I don't know much about them, but if the price is right and you need the card, I wouldn't pay a premium on thier grade.

    Is this them?

I've noticed a few Rickey RC's being graded a 10 by "CSA", but there are two different holders. And the holders on that website look more like PSAs... eBay "Henderson CSA 10". There are three out there right now. All different prices (same seller I think).

They're just another cheap grading company that is likely independantly run or a very small operation. Not saying they couldn't appropriately grade a PSA 10 a CSA 10, but it's very likely that you'll find lower quality cards in their CSA 10 holders. I don't think I've ever seen anything OTHER than a 10 either haha

Is that the same company that makes its own GU cards and grades them?

That would be NSA. They ARE scam artists.

Also, to clarify, I was referring to THIS CSA... I cannot provide any info about the Canadian Sports Authenticators.

Regardless, any card that gets a 9 sub from Beckett will never be graded a Gem 10, it would be a 9.5. That's the CSAI was referring to also. I wouldn't pay a premium for a 10. The vintage I recall was pre-80s card, looked at it for about 2 seconds and I would have maybe given it an 8-8.5 if it wasn't trimmed.
