If you were to invest in a team/team's RCs...what team would it be?
I think the obvious choice right now is Edmonton. But I think Minnesota could be an interesting team in the coming years.
Last year was kind of a poor year for Wild rookies: Almond, Kassian, Falk, Noreau, Stoner, Spurgeon, Prosser with the better rookies being Wellman, Hackett and Scandella. So far this year, there's McMillan (scored a goal in his first NHL game), Bagnall and Bulmer (picked 39th overall in 2010, he'll be real good in years to come) and Fredheim and McIntyre will have rookie cards produced later this year, too.
In the next few years, however, there will be Zack Phillips, Charlie Coyle, Jason Zucker, Mikael Granlund, Johan Larsson and Jonas Brodin coming up through the ranks. Then it's going to be a bad time to be a Wild collector...cause everyone's going to be going after the same cards! lol
I guess, to sum it up, I'm not really looking at cards in just a business manner. It's just nice to have a nice little collection with some value and worth to it. So...who would you invest in?

That about says it all right there.
Any hockey market that has recently had, or will have a high (top 3-5) draft position in consecutive years is going to have big money RCs.

Oilers will be longer than that I think......they don't have the Dmen or the goalie to take them there yet.....

That's true, but I also think there's a certain premium for rookies from Canadian teams, even if they're good.
I sold a Yann Sauve /10 for a pretty penny to a guy from BC, and I know that Schneider's cards have done well.
Being bad for a while is a great way to end up with collectible RCs, but being north of the 49th parallel doesn't hurt, either.
