Vastly In-Depth WWE '12 Preview

Hi guys,

I'm normally over in the MMA forums, but I had the opportunity to attend a media event for WWE '12 a couple weeks ago.

I know I can be wordy, but I wanted to share my preview because I'm not sure there will be a lot of sites going this far in depth. I've also been playing the franchise since the first Smackdown game came out, so I've been there with my controller in hand year and year out :)

By the way, the preview is for XBoxAddict.com, however, the PS3 version will treated the same...same characters, downloads, etc.

I'll be happy to answer any followup questions you guys have, though I've got one straight off: THQ went back and changed things up a bit so that CM Punk DOES enter to Cult of Personality. They saw the definite business need to get it licensed and do it up.

Unfortunately not. We didn't discuss the Wii version at all during the event. The only thing I know offhand is that there's no online or DLC support at all.

I saw this part and it caught my eye. Can you elaborate anymore? I didn't see him on the initial character list.


The Late Macho Man Randy Savage makes his first Smackdown vs. Raw appearance as well, the product of a contract he signed with THQ late last year for his likeness to appear in their games.

Sorry, that was a factual error on my part that's been corrected. We were playing with some of the character skins and creations people had done, and one of the "fake" characters was a really well done Macho Man. THQ reached out and asked me to correct the error as well.
