    Weird eBay dispute

A few weeks ago I sold an item on eBay, I have the unpaid item assistant turned on so a case was opened 4 days of not receiving payment. The buyer still didn't pay after 4 days of the case being opened so it was automatically closed. The buyer received an unpaid item strike, I got my FVF and listing fees refunded.

Today I see another case is open.. the buyer has opened an item not received case against me for the item he didn't pay for. The unpaid item case is closed for a few days now, I won.. how can he open another case on the SAME ITEM?

I spent over an hour talking with eBay this morning, I got transferred three different times. Nobody knew what was going on and they called it a "glitch in the system". As it turns out the buyer paid after I opened the unpaid item case but the payment was never recorded on eBay so I was able to close the first case, get fee refunds and the buyer got a strike. After the payment was recorded (AFTER the first case was closed), the buyer opened an item not received case (which he shouldn't have been able to do).

I just refunded the buyer his money. I asked the eBay reps if the buyer was able to leave me feedback (I am not able to leave him feedback because of the first closed case) and they said "probably yes, after I give a refund and close the second case". So now I might get a neutral or negative and/or low DSR ratings because of a pissed off buyer.

I emailed the buyer and explained what happened and asked if he could leave feedback not to leave a negative, neutral or low DSR ratings. The eBay reps say they could remove a negative if he left one which really set me off on an anti-eBay tirade. I said some stuff about eBay now being only pro-buyer and anti-seller, sellers can't leave negatives, etc. I told the rep even if the buyer did leave me a negative she wouldn't erase it, she responded with another undermining pre-written response, I told her where to go and hung up.

    Very frustrating morning.

Sorry to hear about this... Ebay is a complete joke I am done with them now... I dont even buy from them anymore (unless there is a 1/1 I dont have of my guy). They cancelled my account due to DSR ratiings even though I had 300+ positive feedbacks with 0 negatives and 5 stars on everything except 1 which was still over 4 stars but not quite to 4 and 1/2 stars. Worst part was they cancelled my account without a warning when I had 9 auctions on ebay that were on for 2 days and I was at $600 which I needed to finish rent. When I called them really confused the person acted as if I was the worst seller ever etc etc etc and said I could never sell with ebay again??? I'm by no means a "power seller" but the stuff I would sell were 1/1s, Rare video games that hadnt been on ebay starting at 99 cents in 5 + years just crazy bin prices.. now they have taken away those rare items from buyers and I'm sure I'm not the onlyone so more and more people will be missing out on rare items which was the onlything ebay was ever good for.
