Is O-Pee-Chee available at walmart? That seems like a fun set to do?

O-Pee-Chee should be available at Wal-Mart. It's a large set and doesn't retain much value, if you're worried about that.
Personally I agree with TeamChevelle. Series 1 & 2 (which comes out separately in a few months) isn't difficult to put together, though if you end up trading for the Young Guns RCs, it can take some time, but the YGs tend to retain some value as opposed to O-Pee-Chee RCs, which don't.

not too hard, but i got started on victory, did the whole base set.
collected all cards from the base set, except one just by buying retail boxes

im not too worried about value because im just getting into hockey collecting..maybe i will care about it one day. I just like knocking out sets.

If that's the case I would recommend Victory then. Not a huge set, available at retail stores like Wal-Mart, won't cost an arm and a leg to do, including the insert sets and the update that will come out with Series 2.
O-Pee-Chee is more expensive than Victory, but cheaper than Series 1/2. O-Pee-Chee sets are usually massive, whereas Victory is about 250 cards (incl RCs). I'm not sure how many the update set is, but it's still nowhere near the size of O-Pee-Chee.

O Pee Chee is a good start, but if your going that route, try the Retro subset in OPC. Its a bit challenging but alot of fun at the same time
