Best Hockey Retail Blasters for 2011
I'm trying to get into Hockey collecting and before I go to the hobby level of things for it I was going to purchase a blaster box. Now the only question is like stated in the title what blaster box would you suggest that is both fun to open and if it does have a hit could be a good one. Thanks for your time god bless and peace out

UD1 and OPC always give great value for money.
Certified you're assured of an insert and a memorabilia card out of your three packs.
Beyond that, pretty hit and miss.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Definitely Upper Deck Series 1 or 2

With the majority of blaster boxes priced at $19.99 US, I'd definitley consider the number of packs when making a decision. Artifacts, Cetified and Zenith yield 5 or fewer packs while OPC, Upper Deck Series1 or 2, and Victory offer many more packs per box.
I think UD 1&2 would be my first choice. You can get some good Young Guns cards there. Pinnacle comes second for me and (maybe) OPC third.
The premium boxes (Artifacts, etc. . . ) just don't offer enough bang for the buck, for my tastes.Hidden Content

I would stay away from Artifacts Blasters all together. If you read the odds, theres a really high chance you will get 8 packs of base. Other than that as others have said Series 1/2 is the way to go!

Artifacts blasters have never been very good to me, other than a few low # parallels.
Black Diamond has treated me well, as has Series 1/2. I've had some really god OPC blasters, but had some bad ones too.

This years series 1 was AMAZZING VALUE. You were guaranteed 2 young guns. Could pull extra retro young guns and you got a bonus oversized young gun. The os were a series of 10 or so but if you pull the hall (1 in 10 chance) you pretty much make your money back!
Heck, I bought s1 blasters like no tomorrow. In fact, some places have them going for as little as $12.
Just awesome.
