Best product under $100 for the last 5 years in any sport?
Hello everyone. I've had my times in and out of the hobby for the better part of a decade, but I was wondering on your opinions on this. There's far too many products to take a legitimate poll, but I'm looking to buy a hobby box, probably in football or hockey, for around or just under $100. The reason I'm doing this is because I'd like to show my girlfriend a little more about why I love the hobby (it helps that she loves some sports too, hence the football/hockey parameters), and I'd like her to bust a box for herself.
However, just limiting it to football and hockey is sort of a put-off to my fellow baseball and basketball collectors. Plus, I might be willing to go ahead and get a Baseball box for myself. So state your case! What's the best product, and why you think so. Of course, pulling a big hit out of a single box usually sways opinions, but it's always nice seeing those cards too. Show 'em off if you want to. Just tell me the product, and why it's great.
I get that the latest product is usually the best for value, as the collecting focus shifts, but I'm not really looking for a rookie-geared product. So if you have a separate one that's loaded with veteran goodies you'd like to share, but don't think is best, go right ahead.
Personally, I think 07 Elite Extra Edition Baseball was one of the the best ones. I remember so many hot boxes, which just made the number of autos go from quality to absurd. Though I think it's a bit over $100 for a box now, but you get the idea.

I was a HUGE fan of 2008 Heroes, this stuff back in 2009 or so you could find around $50 a box and the value in a box/case was AMAZING. There was almost never a bad case of this stuff, so many quality players in it autograph wise and the value of the cards held really well. It's one of the products I wish UD had made in 2009

So I'm a huge hockey collector and I would say any year SP Authentic Hockey! Usually the new product is around $109 or so a box! All autos are on card and you get 2 per box maybe 3 not sure.. and 1 is a rookie then a Sign of the times usually a veteran sometimes a hof guy. Product always has a great design and there are those monster hits just waiting to be pulled! SOTT duals, triples, quads, fives, sixes, sevens, and even eights I believe maybe not though... Just a great product though. I look forward to it every year and theres like 18 packs per box so you get to open a lot! Oh and really sweat inserts with the Holo FX's which are 1 or 2 per box! Heres a link to a past year of it on Dave and Adams! http://www.dacardworld.com/sports-ca...ckey-hobby-box
Oh one last thing even though your not interested in rookie really they are all numbered to 999 even the big ones so theres a lot of them unlike other products where the big rookies are short printed to like /499 or /99 or what ever! sorry if i rambled a lot just what I think is the best hockey product every year!
Oh and I just opened up a box recently and got these pretty cool I think!
