Rinne>Quick. Not even close. Rinne IMO is the best goalie in the league. He will forever and always be underrated/written off because he:
1. Plays in the west.
2. Plays in Nashville.
Quick will command a bigger salary but I'd so be fine with Quick being traded in a year and a half at the deadline because fundamentals > athleticism (aka Bernier > Quick).
Nope. Someone high up in the Preds said the money is there to keep all 3 big ones. I expect all to be kept in Smashville.
Also, Nashville fans have said that Suter is better than Weber and when Suter has been out of the lineup, Webers play has gone down. I just hope all 3 stay, Radulov comes back, and that team runs that division for 10+ years.

Dangit...was hoping the Jackets would have to deal with that. I'd rather have to play against Mason and have Rinne in goal anyday!

Yeah, no basis at all for comparison there right?
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Tom Ciggaran, the Predator's owner/chairman has made strong hints that Nashville has been given the green light to spend more money than they've traditionally been able to. They're seriously shooting to lock down Suter and Weber next, and then make a push to acquire more offense.
-Rinne's new contract is just the beginning. Ownership has given the green light to spend to retain the core.
- Goal was to sign Weber to a deal similar to what Rinne just got, but needed to prove to a player of his caliber that the organization intends to be an elite contender. Confident that they're doing that now. Goal remains to sign the captain to a long term deal.
-Similar situation with Suter. Says that the money is available if he wants to get it from Nashville.
-Everyone from owners down to players knows that these three are the face of the Predators, and there is money and desire to retain all three.
-Recognizes that you can't win on defense and goaltending alone. Ownership pledging to get the offense to the level of the defense.
That goes along with Poile's comments yesterday, basically saying they recognize there are holes in the offensive game that they're looking to fill:
“From my standpoint this is the first step of, we hope, a couple more that are going to happen to keep our core players intact. He clearly gives you a chance to compete at a high level and compete for the Stanley Cup. To have him signed for seven years is a great step for this franchise.”
“If you follow through now with what Shea gets in salary and what Pekka gets in salary, what Suter could logically expect in salary, you could see where our payroll is going. That’s why you hear me talk about the window of opportunity for our franchise. The window of opportunity is not just today, it’s as long as we sign these core players. That’s what I’m trying to hit home to them to get them to believe in.”
“We have to find that other missing player, be it (Alex) Radulov coming back, or if we’re able to make another Mike Fisher trade sometime during the year or at the trading deadline. Our ownership and myself are committed to making that happen.”
“We can’t do anything with Shea until later in the year. He’s a little bit different situation. He’s a restricted free agent. I’ll turn my attention now to talk to Ryan on a more regular basis to see if he would like to make a commitment to us.”
Personally this has me smiling. Nashville has a very nice little fanbase, and have been building correctly since the start. I'd love to see them have success.

Would be nice to know the goal support they get also per individual start. Of course with different goalies not sure how easy it would be to see who gets more goal support. I would think that could skew the w's and l's slightly if one of the two had more goal support while manning the pipes.

Could always check the game logs, but that sort of stuff takes a good bit of team to plod through. I remember doing it for Price's numbers back in 09-10 and something like 75% of his losses that year the team scored 2 or fewer goals. But it was his fault. LOL

I know what you mean as many say Ozzie is not hallworthy when he has the wins, cup, etc. I do not know how you can discredit someone totally just become he finds himself in a good situation for a few years.
I am sure someone will take the time it just not important for us to support the argument for either goalie.
As for Price time will tell where he ranks. Of course some Montreal haters will always trash him.
