Returning after almost 20 years
Collecting as a kid was something I loved to do. Then I hit the teenage years, discovered girls, and the rest is history.
Fast forward 20 years and now Im the Father of two boys and "re-discovered" card collecting. I will admit that I was a bit overwhelmed with all the changes over the years. Luckily I found these forums and have spent the last couple of days doing lots of reading to educate myself on the card game.
Ive eased myself back in this weekend with a few 2011 Bowman Chrome purchases (1 retail box, 3 retail packs, 3 hobby packs).
Im not quite sure what kind of collector I want to be but I will figure that out in time. Anyways I am rambling now. Thanks for read.

Welcome to scf! I too am a father of 2 boys who returned to the hobby after a couple of decades off. I've been back since 07. Feel free to pm me with any questions. I mostly save cards for my boys besides my oe player collection.

Welcome back to the hobby too. A lot changes in 20 years but there is a lot of information out there, as I'm sure you are finding out, a lot you can find here. If there is anything around the site I can help you with feel free to ask. I am always happy to help if I can.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Dug out my old collection and went through it tonight with my 6 year old. Had a great time and seeing my old cards brought back some good memories. Ill have to get a bucket and/or setup my inventory so that I can get some trades going here soon.
Also landed a Rob Gronkowski RC Auto tonight on eBay so I am super stoked about that.
