86 Mets/Shea Stadium Centerpiece

I have been searching for a Shea seat back.As luck would have it I found an Ebay seller with some that were autographed by the 86 Mets.I emailed him and asked for his best price.I agreed and picked the cleanest one that agreed to my OCD (Lol) and noticed it had a MLB Hologram.I really didn't pay attention at first as the autographs (26) came PSA/DNA certified.Of them included Carter,Dykstra,Teufel as well as almost all of the memebers with exception of a few like Backman,Mitchell and El Sid.I'm not sure Mr.Carter will do anymore signings but I am guessing they wil be very limited if at all.

Best part is,I checked out the MLB hologram thinking it would certify the seat back as being genuine and it did.It also states authenticity for all 26 Met autographs..... I was floored.

Anyways this is how I received it.....



2 days later all finished.I didn't want to just plaster 2 screws in the seat like MM does,so I fashioned some lag bolts and used them to jazz it up and hold the seat to the back.I also decided to get a piece of UV glass considering the signatiures.And to finish it off I made my own plaque.
The wood,bolts and paint set me back $50.The UV glass was $45 at Michaels craft stores.Super happy with this piece as my family thinks I am crazy staring at for 20 mins last night.

Nice job!! I'm working on a orange seat myself. I'm up to 23 auto's and I should be adding another 4 before the end of the year. What and where did you get the small plaque that is on the seat?

howeik-Thanks bud.I made it.I just printed up a pic off the computer and made a quick frame from some matting I had.The ones from Mounter Memories have one but they don't make them anymore.
