Not sure what or if anyone will read into this. However, this election cycle seems to have some aspects that will have impact on the 2012 election.

Logic dictates he would lose. If it was going to be close then it would be an easy swing in his opponenets favor once the latino vote is factored in. Arizona has a large latino population with family in Mexico. The immigration issue was and is a hotbed topic there so between liberals who would vote for their own party member and latinos who would vote against Pearce because of his immigration law, he stood no chance. I am surprised it was as close as it was.
