Nope, I live in beeee-yoooo-ti-ful Maple Ridge B.C., but I have a separate U.S. eBay user ID and access to a PO box in Point Roberts WA........and unfortunately, $16 bucks for registered mail from the States is about right. And the cost to ship registered FROM Canada? Holy Mother...........

This always comes up.
There are people in Canada who KNOW that if they receive a package from a US seller shipped USPS First Class Int. (the $2/$3 kind), that eBay and Paypal DO NOT accept the LJxxxxxxxxxUS tracking code as acceptable proof of shipment, and will IMMEDIATELY file for a refund based on a false claim, and have it approved.
Any seller in the US shipping to CA is basically forced to protect themselves by switching to UPS or Registered Mail, both of which cost +/- $15.
It's not intended to drive buyers away, and it's not a cash grab - it actually does cost that much to ship a package to across the border with electronic tracking. It's also why I stopped using eBay to sell hockey cards.
