Cancer has given me a new birthday!!!
Just like the title states. Most of you know that I have been battling stage III Esophogeal Cancer.
Well, I just came from the Dr and and latest CT scan shows no Cancer anywhere!!!! YEAH!!!!!
Only thing disappointing is that I told the Dr I was still having difficulty swallowing solid foods and he assure me I would be eating normal by thanksgiving. Well, he told me ( at that time )this just to apease me. His exact words ( now ) were it will take a couple of years to get back to a normal eating diet because there is substantial scarring and lots of swelling in there that my body must overcome and will overcome. it will just take a long time.
So now I have to go every 6 months for a new CT scan and scope and biopsy for the next 3 years. This is a mere pittance to pay for what was certainly the worst time in my life and I have no issue with having to do this if he says every 6 months forever!! to all the well wishers and friends here, let me say thank you again for listening and being there for me.
