Dumb newbie question: eBay selling help

What's the safest / best way to sell graded cards and memorabilia on eBay if you don't have enough transactions to make people "bid with confidence" and you don't want to buy a bunch of stuff just to build up feedback?

If there are eBay consignment services, which are highly recommended and reasonable as to cost? Do you send your cards to them, or do they simply provide the auction listing and you are responsible for shipping and collecting payment?

Somebody mentioned that he is an "official eBay selling assistant," but I thought that was a piece of software for high-volume sellers, not a person who sells for you.

exactly how many transactions do you have?

I'd say if you have atleast 10 rating you'll be fine...if below that people will still probably bid on your items if you accept paypal...because with paypal, if the person doesn't receive their items they'll get their money back easily from paypal.

just start selling and make sure your customer service is outstanding. Even a little positive feedback goes a long way........BUT even 1 negative feedback goes a long way too.

accepting paypal is another good way to help customers trust you.

I agree, just start selling. Make sure you charge reasonable shipping fees (don't overcharge). Make sure you describe the cards as well as include nice scans of the card(s) and answer questions from potential buyers as quickly as possible.

If you have high $$ cards hold off for a while, sell some low end stuff to build up some feedback.
