Ice RC's

Hard to believe I had this on watch for 6 days and i just realized it had a sticker auto on it with a few hours left lol:

not a huge fan of this guy passing it off as an actual RC auto, but i gotta admit it looks pretty sweet. i think UD should have some of the Ice RC's autographed, would be some of the sweetest looking cards IMO. since Ice isnt a stand alone product and the Premiere Patches probably arent returning anytime soon, i think these would make for a hell of a pull. ik if there really was an autographed Ice RC of Callahan, it would easily be at the top of my wantlist.

somewhat of a pointless thread, but just wanted to see what other people would think about this idea.

never pointless to post about seller trying to fool buyer. Ice is no more consider as a rookie card but many still would see them as rookie because it was at some point a brand. UD is mixing all is product brand like Parkhust and Champion made a return as parkhust champion like if this is a new brand when in fact it's a mix. I personally see this as UD not wanting to innovate and not accepting the loss of half their license. I would prefer they leave the brand aside and revive them down the road. I think it kind of disvalues a brand when they do this. Ice were part of my favorite rookie but now even I do not see them as rookie, but a a sad attempt to still make 22 brand live into 11 release.

For instance Crown Royale was out for a while and now when Panini brought them back, it make the product very desirable. So I am a bit disappointed at UD to mix brand and all I can think of is they simply did not accept loosing 11 release.

But to point out a seller trying to fool other is never a pointless thread. Even the corner of the tape are cut at 45 degree to hide the fact it was remove from a other card as he probably made it so it would have look like it was strip, The funny thing is now it's even more obvious. This seller should be reported to ebay as selling fake auto card as we all know they never was signed. Yet it my favorite Carey Price rookie since when I got it I was so happy of getting this card in my collection. Then later I did acquire my gold the cup price rookie but the ice was the first big rookie I got of him. I love them the way they are and they are not like all other rookie and why they fecth that much back then.

I just was so mad UD screwed up ICE and put it as a special pack in box. All pack buyer never could put their hand on them and to me this is not fair and a bad move from UD.

definitely agree with the downside of releasing Ice w/other products, they should have just let it go and then revived it later on.

i honestly didnt think much of the seller fooling the buyer because i noticed he didnt mention adding the auto to the card while i was making the thread, i just thought it looked really cool. but yea, obviously he didn't mention the card wasn't an original so im glad i pointed it out in that aspect too.

i do love the Ice RC's as they are, and was actually thinking about picking up some more from 07-08. thanks for the input!

That's such an odd thing for a seller to do. I guess it paid off for him a little bit (depending where the auto came from), but to kill his or her reputation for such little gain is strange to me.

I could be wrong, but that sticker looks like a Panini auto sticker. If I'm right, then I think it explains why it looks like it's trying to peel off. LOL

The card....just plain stupid. Yuck.

As for Ice Premiers, liked them alot, but I guess it was one of those mid-level products that was cut. Too bad...On card autos on the glacial graphs. I don't like them putting them in other boxes now.
