    Free USPS Delivery Confirmation

i just learned something new from my trip to the post office this morning. If you log on to the usps website you can print out a delivery confirmation # on a regular sheet of paper, cut it down to size and tape it to your envelope/package. then when you bring it to the post office all you pay for is the shipping........the Delivery Confirmation is Free?

ive been paying 45 cents a crack for 3 years.........damner

anyway you can check it out at www.usps.com/clicknship

    its free

It doesn't seem to work. Every time I try to print a sample label nothing happens.

I doubt it's free. I've been sending Certified for years and I've always had to pay, just because you tape something to your package I don't see them not charging you for it.

my postmaster told me about it this morning. she gave me a brochure as well. it looks like its only for priority mail but she said its free.

here is what the brochure reads:

    GET FREE DELIVERY CONFRIMATION SERVICE
when you use click-n-ship service and send your packages via priority mail service, you get delivery confirmation service free. delivery confirmation service tells you when yoru package arrives and provides the peace of mind you need. find out more at usps.com/clicknship

im also trying to print a label. she told me that you can print your label and then tape it to your package and then bring it in to the office and pay your shipping.

probably not alot of help for those who are using bubble mailers for a few cards, but I sell alot of stuff on ebay and I always use priority shipping anyway. so im going to try and do this to save myself some $.
