RNH Ice RC
anyone know if RNH will be included in the Ice Premieres /99 set coming out with Black Diamond next month? I assume so since he's been playing the whole time. It'll be the hottest card for a long time I'm sure.
what do you guys think it will go for on ebay the first couple weeks? Hall's ice rc went for $450 to start but rose to $600 very quickly and is still around there today. I've been tracking it as I have a hall ice bgs 9.5.
with how well RNH is doing, I wouldn't be surprised to see it start at $600 right off the bat. Hopefully not because I'm saving up for one now.

I would say between 5-600. I would buy your way in to many different case breaks with the money, you may end up with multiple :D

haha, yeah right, that would only be too lucky. imagine spending $600 on case breaks and not getting a single /99 rc. nah i won't take my chances, i'll save up and get one when it comes out if the price is right.
i'm going to base it on the hall ice cause i know what every single ice rc has sold for from this past set. i've been keeping a spreadsheet. they are my favorite rookie cards.
so yeah i would agree, $5-600 would be the range of the RNH when it first comes out, although he's so hot that i wouldn't doubt someone pay crazy money like $800 for one the first day.

I never got the theory of breaking wax to get a card you wanted. If you want the card, I completely agree with you and save up for it. Its going to be /99, so there is without a doubt going to be more than 10 that will pop up within the first few weeks, you should have no problem getting it. If it was a 1/1 and it doesn't pop up for good 6 months, then I might consider breaking a box or two to see if there is luck.
Otherwise, breaking wax is fun and a thrill when you pull or don't pull a card. Value wise it is different. =)
As for the RNH, $600 would more than likely be the going rate. Just don't buy the first one or two as they are bound to way overpriced cause people want it "first."

I'd imagine it'll be in the same value range as Hall. As for placement, they will likely do it in BD and spread the wealth around so that SPx gets a couple goodies as well.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

yeah there are usually 5 or 6 teir /99 rc's in the black diamond, and then 4 or 5 in the spx.
i would assume the first few will be RNH, landeskog, couturier, larsson and connolly maybe. just a guess. then zibenijad, maybe even matt read will get a /99 ice in the 2nd part.
i don't know, i'm just anxious, i want the RNH so badly to go with my hall. would love an eberle but i'll have to wait or try and trade for one.

I am pretty sure Hodgson will be one of the /99s in BD. I am sure they will even them out so 4 per BD and SPx. Better rookies in the BD so they can sell more of the product.

oh yeah hodgson, not sure why i temporarily forgot him. that would be a great one to get. thing is with him, i'm pretty sure he'll never pan out to be the player he was hyped to be, the back injuries really set him back.
but yeah there are 10 ice level /99's last season, so i assume they would keep that, so it would have to be at least 5 and 5 spread out through the BD and Spx

they like to have a leafs player as a /99 too, can't be a set without a leafs player being on. haha. so i wonder if they'll have frattin's ice be /99. that would be cool!! and scheifele of course will need a /99 but maybe they'll hold off on him till spx.
