Dipietro/Tavares
First off,Happy Thanksgiving to all here in the states
I realize the Islanders are a bad team,but can Dipietro stop anything?I see better goaltending in youth hockey than I see from him.He plays like he just does not care.I guess when you are making millions for doing nothing,thats what happens......As for Tavares,please just trade him.He has almost no support and is wasting away on the Island. He would probably tear it up on just about any contending team....Sad state in Islander land,even the arena is falling apart.....Feel free to agree/disagree...Thanks

I agree 100%. He's making it hard to be a Tavares fan because they are such a lousey team. Lets hope Nino will step it up, and please make a few moves...

The Islanders just signed Tavares to a long term contract. Why would they want to trade him???
Rebuilds don't happen overnight, and some happen much quicker than others. I'm surprised how badthe Islanders are this year, but give them some time.
As for Dipietro, I doubt it. I'd be surprised if he ever has a season where he plays 40+ games again.

Tavares is not leaving the Island, unless the whole team does to Kansas City or Quebec :)
The kid is only 21, not sure how many times people forget this when they type comments. If you want to jump off the Tavares wagon please forward cards here. On a side note Tavares has a huge personality that over time people will appreciate, this is no regular 21 year old professional athlete.
Now DP, if it was a public opinion poll within Islander nation this joker would have been sent packing long ago, we can all thank Wang for having a man crush on DP.
