    TTM...Back in the day

I just thought it would be a cool idea to share your TTM experiences from back in the 80's, 90's, or even before then. Who used to sign 15-20 years ago? Did guys like Mantle, DiMaggio, or Mays even answer their fan mail?

Feel free to share your stories.

Mantle and Mays did not sign. DiMaggio had a ghost signer.

There were loads of baseball HOFers who signed for free TTM in the late 1980's. reliability for free:
Joe Sewell, Carl Hubbell, Rick Ferrell, Johnny Bench, Jim Hunter, Bob Feller, Brooks Robinson, Billy Williams, Lou Boudreau, Stan Musial, George Kell, Enos Slaughter, Cool Pap Bell.

Spahn was $5, Mize was $2, Eddie Mathews was $2.

I only sent to four players in the mid - late 90s.
    Jeff Kent
    John Olerud
    Jason Kendal
    Jeter

Got back everyone but Kendal. Jeter was my first ever TTM success in 1998.

I'm only 18 but I've been handed down TTM's of Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Willie McCovey, Walter Payton, Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, Earl Monroe, Troy Aikman, Joe Montana, OJ Simpson, Larry Bird, etc...

Besides Montana, I can say all are authentic. (I'm not a professional, but I am good)

All from my Dad's collecting form 70's, 80's & 90's! Then unfortunatley I was born so he stopped... LOL
