    In the book Card Sharks it clarifys that there is in reality more than one set of printing plates for sets with large print runs as the plates tend to deteriorate over time and that when you see people 'destroying' the 'only' set its only really symbolic to make consumers think that more sets wont be printed but in reality the card companies keep the extra plate sets in their 'vaults' al'a Fleer.
