    Ebay/Canada Post Help Needed

Hello everybody, I do not have any pictures with me right now given that I am at work, but I recently won an autographed game-used off of Ebay and when I received it, it was snapped in two pieces. The pictures in the Ebay auction show it clearly in one piece and the item description does not make any reference to it being broken.

I am just wondering if this has happened to anybody on here before so that I could maybe get some advice on how to proceed. As of now, I have taken numerous pictures of the stick and I have not removed it from its packaging. I have also contacted the seller and will be contacting Canada Post and/or USPS after work tonight as it was sent from the United States.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Techniqually you can file a "Item not as Described" case, send it back, and get your money back.

It sucks that the seller has to pay for something damaged by the PO, but that's how Ebay/PayPal work.

More often than not, when a card has been destroyed by Canada Post as some of mine have both as a buyer and seller, there are telltale signs.

Check the outside of the bubble. It will be full of dirt, grime, grease and probably has tire-tread marks on it.

Canada Post is careless and clueless, and thousands of cards end up on the Depot Garage Floors before they are sent to their destinations. About every 30th card I receive from home (Canada) has tire-tread marks. Some end up fine, others destroyed.

Thanks for all the input so far.

@centrehice: Sure enough, the bubble wrap is extremely dirty and worn so it would not surprise me if that is what happened
