    Q about players numbers

    Hey!

So, I saw the pistons game the other night, and the new rookie have the #7, which is Ben Gordon's number, Now, when looking at nba.com ben have #8 instead. how come the rookie can have #7? when it's Ben's number from the beginning. and he got to change it instead of the rookie.. Ben is #7. BG7 not BG8 :(

    ^^^
BG announced last year he was changing his number to "8" for the above reasons mentioned. Thus Pistons' rookie Brandon Knight gets BG's old number, since his college jersey number is already worn by Pistons' vet Will Bynum.
