Just an interesting observation
This is the first time I've ever seen an eBay seller admit his mistake. Makes me inclined to buy despite the negative feedback
came up with excuses when asked where cards were...Took 2 weeks to send out!!!

Yes, it's true. We have no good excuse. But he did receive them albeit late.

I'd be more apt to buy from that seller than sell to that buyer. How do you leave a neg when you get your cards undamaged? Late shipping isn't a good enough reason in my book.

I've seen it before just very rare. Late shipping isn't a reason for negative feedback if you still get the cards undamaged. Neutral at worst and I'd still give positive. Idiot buyer.

Buyers need to recognize many sellers have lives are busy and cant ship the second after the item is paid for
Lenience and a bit of easy going attitude would really help this hobby
Too many uptight people

as a seller who makes occasional mistakes, as long as you communicate and follow through, usually you dont get hurt in feedback

Kudos to the seller. Not many people own up to their mistakes. Sellers deserves credit for that and a "neutral" rating, at best.

I ship next day or that day and still get 1 star on shipping with free shipping, padded, top loader, the whole thing.
I give that seller credit. As I am to my limit on selling on ebay. The stars are what counts as you get up to 20% off fees. Since I recent lost my top rated seller everything went up 20% all do to 6 people decide to be funny and put 1 stars for shipping.

The interesting thing is that negative feedback is the feedback that's read most. Buyers want to see what went wrong in past transactions. So when I navigate to his history and read his comments, I immediately get the impression that this seller is keen on communication.
Also, modern buyers may not understand the implications of even one negative feedback rating, as sellers are now unable to leave negative feedback for buyers. So one who consistently buys has nothing to fear in their own regards. And I'm not using fear loosely, either lol. Every time I get a message saying, "where's my card?", my stomach gives a jolt. There are some out there who hand out negatives like they're candy!
