New Member from Michigan
Hey all, new member here hailing from the great and currently snowy state of Michigan. I collect mostly football and MMA. Used to collect cards back in the early 90's when the market was so saturated that none of the cards (base sets) are worth anything. Just got back into it within the last year or so, mostly slowly, thanks to the introduction of 2009 Topps UFC. That set then enlarged my curiosity to see what had changed within the football market. I buy mostly low end stuff due to the wife not being on board with this rather expensive hobby lol. I am a rabid Detroit Lions fan and I think I am gonna start collecting Ndamukong Suh and Megatron Calvin Johnson. Any advice for a newbie looking to buy/trade for mostly low end?

Welcome to SCF! Where in MI are you from? I am in the Kalamazoo/GR area......if you are around the west side of the state there is a show in Holland on Saturday.

There is usually a decent one in GR every few months at the mall, Legends puts it on, if you are in Lansing you could call that store and find out when the next one is.

Welcome to SCF, Mike! Hopefully you don't get too much snow. Good luck growing the hobby. My wife is on board with autograph collecting but I think she hates the fact I have more boxes of cards than she does clothes, lol!
