+ or - , Digging in the Trash At Cardshows?
So this morning I reappeared for the first time in ages at FnS's show , which was a crush of commotion due to appearances by Mike Tyson, The Black Ghostbuster, Stan Lee, various Playmates and aging beauties, as well as some kind of Star Wars event. Boba Fetts and Stormtroopers, none of whom needed to see my identification, made parking a pain.
My Schwarzenegger-esque friend Jer and I were checking all the usual spots, when we walked by 3 trash bins with a ton of Cup boxes in them.
Choose your own adventure:
1) Check for Empty Cup Tins
2) Ahhh, bro...c'mon...don't...
Contextual dignity consideration: You're in a showhall full of adults dressed as Star Wars characters.
I walked with the three empty Dominion boxes I dug out. (Random thought: turn one into a guitar? Cigar box guitars are trendy right now.) Some baller did like 2 cases of Cup and a good chunk of Dominion. My buddy walked with even more.

+ Good job...I never thought about it but the stuff those guys give away at the end of the day so they don't have to haul stuff home tells me that this is a good idea.
Dignity? What dignity? :)
I would throw them in a bag or something as to not draw attention to it.
What's the expression? One man's trash is another man's treasure?Hidden Content , Hidden Content , Hidden Content

Bring pack-searching to a whole new level. LOL
I think some of the tins and books and stuff that are made for higher-end products are pretty cool, and they do look nice on a shelf. I say have at 'er. You're not hurting anybody by doing it.

If they were in the trash and nobody wanted them, and you like them and have use for them, what's the harm?
Hopefully Boba Fett wasn't hiding in the garbage waiting for you!

I agree with the other posters. As long as they are destined for the landfill, you are doing the earth a solid.
