450 Card IP Auto Lot on eBay - Have doubts like me?

So i saw this and hands down most are legit, but of course the biggest one in the lot doesnt look so real.

Description clearly states he got them all in person before games or card shows, yet this Gretzky looks like the classic Gretzky auto-pen trick. Just look how perfect it is and im no expert, but I cant imagine Gretzkys autograph being that perfect in person signing a hockey card.

Its in the 4th image, second row, first card... you be the judge, but id say autopen and this guy is a liar where the autos came from.

I msgd him and asked him about it told him it looked like an autopen and would he take a return if it came back fake, and he said "cards are as is part of the lot, any doubt then do not bid"

    bleh, fake gretzky auto 99.99%

i wouldn't be so worried about how he responded...sure it sounded shady, but it easily could just be him saying...look...i have 6 bidders already...i don't want someone giving me a hassle over it....not saying you ARE but he might think that you would demand a whole refund and only send back a portion of the cards...or just the gretzky card...again not saying you WOULD...but he doesn't know you personally...

anywho...i would ask for a bigger scan of the card...it will help people here determine...and if he says no...then he must have a reason for saying no...if you get my drift...

Oh yeah I know where your coming from, but hes msgd back 3 times and wont openly admit that he actually got this card autographed in person like the description says. He steers away from that question.

If u search gretzky autos on ebay you will be able to tell right away, his autograph is nowhere NEAR that neat in reality. It was done with an autopen, and im sure the buyer of the lot is not going to know that as it will look like a real auto.

The only reason its bad is that of course the Gretzky is the best autographed card to have in this lot hands down, and in peoples minds they know that if its authenticated by PSA/JSA they can pull in 80 - 100$ for it. WHat they dont realize is they will get the card back with a letter saying "Sorry, autograph is not authentic"

Meh, even without the Gretzky it's a strong lot. If the guy is saying he got these in person I'd say it's real. It's the TTM ones that usually get the autopen.

yeah but thats the thing, he avoids answering the question that he got it in person. Was def a TTM autopen, its just way too neat and perfect. Reason being I had one incoming from ebay member jagosta72 and when I put it up everybody tore it apart saying it was an autopen, as i didnt know that even existed until then, and the auto is 100% identical

    compare it to this:

If I had a Gretzky auto, I certainly wouldn't bury it on page four of my scans when I have Red Berenson on page one.

BUT - even if it is auto-penned, doesn't that mean it actually came from Gretzky, or, at least, Gretzky's people? Most in person autographs don't carry the same value as pack inserted auto anyway. So, auto-pen...in person...really not much difference.
