THIS! I saw 4 of Crosby's games this year and in each one he was giving jabs, slashes, crosschecks, and being a general pest. He can't expect to act like that and not get what he deserves.

When Crosby was away there was definitely a lack of activity in terms of sales of his cards. As soon as he came back, and had that outstanding opening night he was back on ‘top’.

Now that he’s down again what happens to Crosby’s cards if he doesn’t come back. Will they go up in value? Stay the same? Go down?

Like mostly everyone I do hope that he comes back as I’m a huge hockey fan.

In my opinion, the lack of activity that you saw during the spring/summer has to do with collectors and resellers holding on to Crosby cards. My LCS didn't get an influx of Crosby cards in their stock (actually they received none), and ebay auctions were hard to come by (at least when I was looking). As a Crosby collector, I'm still going to collect him. It just so happens that my budget coincides with my lack of buying activity currently.

He doesn't have to play like an enforcer,all it takes to retrigger symptons is any type of hard body contact or worse another shot to the head.This is stuff he's not going to be able to avoid playing this game,unfortunately his day will come sooner than later because of the severity of his initial injury.
