hopefully he returns, but when he does he needs to stop playing like an enforcer.
if hes going to elbow people in the head, and chirp and start fights with players, he should expect retaliation
something he should try and avoid.

THIS! I saw 4 of Crosby's games this year and in each one he was giving jabs, slashes, crosschecks, and being a general pest. He can't expect to act like that and not get what he deserves.

In my opinion, the lack of activity that you saw during the spring/summer has to do with collectors and resellers holding on to Crosby cards. My LCS didn't get an influx of Crosby cards in their stock (actually they received none), and ebay auctions were hard to come by (at least when I was looking). As a Crosby collector, I'm still going to collect him. It just so happens that my budget coincides with my lack of buying activity currently.

He doesn't have to play like an enforcer,all it takes to retrigger symptons is any type of hard body contact or worse another shot to the head.This is stuff he's not going to be able to avoid playing this game,unfortunately his day will come sooner than later because of the severity of his initial injury.
