2012 R&R HOF inductees, Anoter year another new low
Not say that the RHCP, G&R, Beastie Boys, Nyro & the small faces are not worthy but from an institution that ignored 2 of the greatest American musicians ever Leon Russell and Neil Diamond year after year and continue to ignore music immortal such as Rush, Kraftwerk and Zucchero. Why do they even bother, its more the hall of popularity more than who that are truly deserving. I mean Without Leon music would just be garbage without what he has done, Kraftwerk basically brought electronic music to the masses and where would we be without electronic music these days. and Rush 24 gold, 14 platinum and follow only the Beatles and The Rolling Stones in consecutive album. I mean none of this is worthy so why would anyone else get in.

Yeah I pretty much ignore their new inductions anymore. I agree it is just a popularity thing. I have always been irked that Blondie got in. I know a lot of people like/liked them, but I don't see a band that was really only significant for 2 years being in the R&R HOF.
