SCF Official Review: 2011-12 Panini Certified

First and foremost, I'd like to thank our sponsors at Panini for providing us with this box.

    10 packs per box
    5 cards per pack
    Current Retail Price (online): $94.99-$109.99

    Product Description

    BOX BREAK
    - 2 Autographs, including at least one hard-signed Freshmen Signatures
    - 2 Memorabilia cards
    - At least one Mirror parallel and two additional inserts

    PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

    - Last year's most surprising debut was bolstered by the earliest ever auto/mem Rookie Cards in hobby history! This year's release promises more of the same, with more in-pack RCs and NO RC TBDs!

    - Certified brings back Freshman Signatures, each adorned with an ON-CARD AUTOGRAPH (falling one per box), along with Freshman Signatures SPs and Freshman Fabrics Signatures (quantity dependent on number of players that debut prior to pack out). The latter group will be #'d to just 499 and feature promising stars such as CODY HODGSON, JOE COLBORNE, BLAKE GEOFFRION and the cream of the 2011-12 RC crop!

    - Fabric of the Game Die-Cuts returns with fresh new patterns, including Positions and Nationals (highlighting the home country of all the NHL's hottest stars).

    - Look for the return of Hot Boxes, falling one per eight-count inner case, filled with Totally Certified parallels and bonus hits!

    - Look for fresh new inserts, including Certified Gold Team, the ultra-limited Stars of the NHL Die-Cuts and Soft Hands, a memorabilia chase set that features game-used glove swatches.

    - PLUS! Look for ON-CARD Private Signings autographs, featuring Alex Ovechkin, Don Cherry, Ryan Miller, Felix Potvin and many more!

Thanks Tony for the feedback, but Cannot agree with the overall ratings here as that was just a great box hitting one of the top rookies. The value though is a hard one to designate I think as Landekog being in the top 3 rookies, the sale value on that card is pretty low, last one selling at a meer 28$ + shipping.

Think the other con is only 1 - 2 of these rookies /499 per 8 box case, which in reality for the price of the box I would think they should be 1 per box, especially in buying a 8 box case and if the only two you pull are the lower end players.

Again thanks for the review Tony and thanks to Panini for providing the box!

I agree... I love them and bought tons already but also have a "dislike" about them.... there is getting to be to many inserts/parallels nowadays; blue, red, emerald, gold, black etc... fun yes but not numbered inserts...? :( not so fun.

Nice review and cant wait to see some more !
