Couple Quick Grading Questions
Never sent a card to be graded before, so if somebody could help me on this that would be awesome.
1. Where do you get the oversized card holders you have to send the card in? And what are they called?
2. Who's better: BGS or PSA? Which is cheaper, ships faster, and adds more value to the card?
THANKS IN ADVANCE

BGS is generally more respected and increases the value of the card more, but at the same time its much harder to get a good grade from them

Here is a website that sells them http://www.cardboardgold.com/carsav1pac.html
I know www.dacardworld.com probably sells them too.
As for who is better, I think that really depends on your intent. If I were looking at keeping the cards, I'd probably do with SGC because their holder is much sharper than all of the others, especially for light bordered cards.
If I were going to submit and sell, BGS all the way. They are tougher but they bring the higher bids. This is probably because they control the market and 'price' their graded cards with a premium over the other graders in Beckett.
PSA requires an annual membership of about $100 which has turned me off of them several times when I've made this same debate.
I go with SGC for all of my pre-1975 cards. SGC has a good 'vintage' following.
For the post-1975 stuff, I use BGC...
